diy: beach in a bottle hair spray

We will be headed to the beach in the beginning of August, and I cannot wait! I love being at the beach so so much. It's like the world just stops for a little while when you are there. I will say though, when I spend a whole day at the beach, my hair looks a mess. My hair doesn't do that cute thing that some people's hair does. You know... when their hair is way more messy than usual but it's still acceptable and there is a little wave to it, and it looks like they spent some time at the beach but some how managed to keep their composure? No. Mine doesn't do that. My hair basically becomes a just came out of a 3 month hibernation bird's nest of a contraption on my head. So thank goodness for this beach in a bottle hair spray. Because now I can have that nice kind of beachy-looking hair even though I haven't set foot on a beach. You can too, it's super simple and you probably have everything already.
Beach in a Bottle Hair Spray
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. hot water
- 1/2 tsp. conditioner
- 1/2 tsp. hair gel
- 3 drops essential oil (optional, we used lavender for scent)
- 2 tsp. sea salt

Directions:
1. Mix salt and water together to dissolve salt.
2. Whisk all ingredients into salt water mixture.
3. Pour into a spray bottle.
4. Shake well before each use.
5. Use scrunching motion with your hand while applying spray to hair.
This is a good way to style dirty hair. And if your hair is clean, it's a good way to scrunch it without making your hair so stiff. Now go get beachy!

  2. Love this!
Beach spray gets pricey, so this is so handy.
