favorite scents // january 2017 edition
It's been a while sine we've done a beauty post on the blog, but these scents are just so good that I haaaaad to share them with you. These are my top three right now- Sol de Janeiro', Oribe's signature scent and Amazing Grace by Philosophy.
Last year Casey and I were at Sephora and randomly tried out the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and couldn't get over how amazing it smelled. The cream is a bit pricey, but it feels and smells so luxurious that we had to get one to share. We later realized that they also sold a body wash that smells exactly the same, so of course we had to have it. It smells just like the cream- like you are on an exotic island somewhere. Get it.
The Oribe scent is to die for, y'all. If you haven't tried any of their hair products, you need to. I actually don't have the product in this picture that originally introduced me to the scent. When I realized that they had a perfume, I knew I had to have it. I searched the internet for reviews because at $95 a pop, I wanted to make sure it was indeed the same scent. I only found two reviews and one said it smelled really good, but she had never used the hair products before and the other hated the perfume scent. I wasn't very confident about what the perfume would smell like, but I heard the body oil smelled just like the hair products, so opted for the body oil and perfume stick combo pack. It was a little cheaper, but FYI the perfume smells amazing. I wish I would've just bough the big perfume and plan to buy it in the future. For now the roller ball stick will do! And I use the body oil right out of the shower, like a moisturizer/lotion.
And last but not least, the Amazing Grace scent from Philosophy. I'll use this as a body wash or for bubble baths. The smell lingers in the bathroom long after it's been used, which is a plus. All I can say about this scent is that it's a kind of fresh girly scent, and it's so very very good. I often have a mini crisis in the shower deciding whether to use it or the Brazilian 4 Play Shower Cream-Gel.
Anyway, you should try some of these products out if you love things that smell good. If I could get my hands on a Brazilian Bum Bum perfume, well then that would be bliss. I'm considering getting the lotion version of Amazing Grace, but I'll wait until I'm in need of more lotion. I've had a history of having way more products than one needs and Casey and I are both trying to live with less things. It's a process, but I feel very good about these products. When you find what you like, you just know!
