So we got tired of looking at this old blue mousepad. I don't know why... it's so beautiful. PSYCH. So we decided to give the mousepad a little more life since we spend long periods of time with it. You just need some fabric, mod podge, and some scissors. And your ugly mousepad.
Cut a piece of fabric that's just a little bigger than your mousepad.
Coat the mousepad with tons of mod podge, making sure to reach all the way to the ends.
Cover the top of the mousepad with the fabric. Make sure everything is facing upward.
Starting from the middle, push your fingers outwards to get all the bubbles out from under the fabric.
Let the Mod Podge dry, you may need to put some heavy things on the mousepad so the fabric stays in place. When it has dried completely, Trim the edges of the fabric with scissors to the size of the mousepad.
It's just that easy.

definitely trying..thanks for sharing

Lovely idea!!! I need to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love this! And you don't even need to use a mousepad. You can recycle all kinds of things and make it an eco-friendly project too. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! I don't have a desktop computer, but I would definitely make myself a custom mousepad if I did!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog this weekend and it is gorgeous! I have a DIY blog too, if you'd like to check it out:
