pineapples, fringe and ac/dc

This is an image from a recent shopping trip we took to a new local craft shop and Goodwill. I feel like anytime we go by a Goodwill, we stop there. It is such a good place to find things to rework and take apart to use for supplies. Today we bought the most hideous purse I've ever seen in my life and cut off all the wooden beads. There were a lot of them. We plan to string the beads and make necklaces. The cool thing about the craft shop that I mentioned earlier is that it is like Goodwill but just for crafts. It's called "Smart" which stands for Scrap Made Art. Everything in the shop is donated and they organize it so well. They have traditional craft supplies but they also have things like the marquee letters in the picture, and different metals and old jewelry. If you are in Nashville, you should definitely check it out! It's such a cool concept and it's all very cheap, bonus! These kind of trips are my favorite. When you don't have an agenda, you can more easily be inspired. And now we have many projects that we need to work on...

  1. Wow, I wish there was a store like that near me! I love the way you laid everything out for the photo. At first glance, I thought the "Wanderer" was overlaid text, but how fun to find out that it was marquee letters! :)

  2. I love the idea of the SMART shop! I honestly wish there was something awesome like that near me, would spend all my time thre.
