Have a couple of questions for the experts. #1 Do you run the filter every day? If so, how many hours a day? Also, we seem to be missing the Airjet Valve cap (#18 on your illustration) Should that have come with the pump? Do you think it's okay to put a piece of duct tape there until we get the replacement part? What is the purpose of that piece anyways...do you know? I keep it covered with a tarp to keep trash out. When I take the tarp off the top inch of water will be hot but by the time I turn the pump on it circulates the water from the bottom and it cools it right down. I think the concrete helps keep the water cool. I have never had the water be too hot. The pump I have circulates 1000 gallons an hour (my tank holds 950 gallons) so it gets circulated every hour.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07301569519808692609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13466209103438745.post-21896409971795755052019-08-05T08:31:43.067-05:002019-08-05T08:31:43.067-05:00I just empty mine and turn it over and leave it wh...I just empty mine and turn it over and leave it where it is. Keeps the chlorine from causing rust to form on the pool. I ordered them from The Pool Geek. Bought some the 1st year and still using them. They work well. My water is always clear. I test it once a week and add the Soft Swim chemicals as needed. I have well water so my ph is always low. I line the top of my pool with pool noodles split longways, covering the top rim. And instead of drilling holes in my pool I just hang the pump hoses over the rim of the pool. I keep it covered with a tarp when I am not in it. Keeps the tree leaves and flower blossoms out of the water.
