We started this "Back to Basics" series a while back on our YouTube channel but, we've only shared the french braid with you. Here we have the fishtail braid video tutorial. This is a bigger fishtail braid but if you want the braid to look more detailed, you can just use smaller pieces. Or you could just use the Brilliant Braid tutorial for a quicker style.
Your hair is so beautiful! I always try to do fishtails on my own head but it doesn't ever seem to work when I do it myself.

do you curl your hair before you do it? or is it just naturally curly?
ReplyDeleteFishtail braids looked complicated to me until I finally practiced one on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The first few attempts were uneven, but using smaller sections made the pattern much clearer and surprisingly secure. Since I’ve been experimenting more with hairstyles, I also read Hair Club reviews while comparing different hair care services and ideas. What I like most about a fishtail braid is that it works for both casual days and dressier plans without much effort. Once you understand the basic hand movement, the whole style becomes much easier, and a slightly messy finish actually makes it look even better.
